Website speed optimisation should be a key component of your online strategy.
Why? Because Website speed can make or break your business since 33% of visitors will abandon your site if it takes more than 7 seconds to load and only 10% if it takes 2 seconds.
This is particularly true for local businesses whose visitors mainly come from mobile phones where speed plays an even bigger part in user experience.
It has become so important, Google has included speed as a signal which will influence rankings in its search results.
But how much of a part does it really play in rankings?
